Senior Project Manager

Job Description:

R. Yoder Construction, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented, thorough, and organized construction Senior Project Manager to join our growing team. In this position, you will oversee projects as well as a team of project managers. Duties also include project budgets, coordinating contractors, managing the construction process, creating and organizing schedules, tracking inventory, and ordering and managing materials.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage, train, help, and hold accountable a team of Project Managers
  • Create efficient processes for Project Manager
  • Schedule, develop, and coordinate weekly meetings and training for Project Managers
  • Compile and plan budgets, cost estimates, and other financial estimates
  • Coordinate, plan, and manage schedules for contractors and subcontractors
  • Develop construction projects with architects, engineers, and trade workers
  • Order and manage materials and equipment
  • Provide internal reporting
  • Oversee and supervise construction project progress and provide reports on timeline, progress, and adjustments
  • Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met
  • Perform the tasks of a cost estimator
  • Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Five years of experience as a Project Manager or in a similar position in construction management required
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Able to manage a team of employees and multiple projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail
  • Goal-oriented and organized leadership
  • Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
  • In-depth understanding of the construction industry
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
