Akron Water Treatment Plant (In Progress)

Project Description

We are completing improvements to Akron’s existing water treatment infrastructure, including rehabilitation of the water filter tank, replacement of filter media, cleaning of two wells, and replacement of check valves, flow meters, and associated equipment. The project also includes new SCADA controls and wireless flow meters to enhance system monitoring and control.

Work at the two well houses is being carefully sequenced to maintain continuous water service throughout construction. Each well is taken out of service individually for improvements, testing, and inspection before being returned to operation, allowing the facility to remain operational throughout the project.
