Akron Water Treatment Plant (In Progress)

Project Description

R. Yoder Construction is completing targeted improvements to the Town of Akron’s existing water treatment infrastructure, including rehabilitation of the water filter tank, replacement of filter media, cleaning of two wells, and replacement of key valves, flow meters, and equipment. The project also includes new SCADA controls and wireless flow meters to improve system monitoring, control, and communication. To maintain continuous water service throughout construction, well improvements are being completed sequentially, with testing and inspections performed before each well is returned to service. Careful coordination with Town personnel and precise integration of the new equipment are helping ensure a smooth transition while keeping this essential community infrastructure operational.
