LaCrosse Wastewater Treatment Plant (In Progress)

Project Description

R. Yoder Construction is improving the Town of LaCrosse’s existing lagoon-based wastewater treatment system with new treatment infrastructure, including a chlorine contact tank, chlorine tablet feeders, process piping and valves, a solar-powered flow meter, and a new lagoon cover. A significant construction challenge is the approximately nine-foot-deep excavation required immediately adjacent to an existing lagoon and creek, requiring substantial dewatering and careful site management throughout construction. The project also includes installation of a large lagoon cover over an active, filled lagoon, requiring detailed planning and coordination within the operating facility. By keeping the existing treatment system functional through the majority of construction, the project team is minimizing disruption while safely integrating the new infrastructure into the community’s wastewater system.
