Hibbered Plaza & Streetscape

Project Description

We completed a comprehensive urban transformation in downtown South Bend, delivering a vibrant public plaza and enhanced streetscape at the Hibberd building. The project involved installing permeable paver systems for stormwater infiltration, custom monumental stairs with integrated planters, and major underground utility upgrades for sewer and fire protection. Despite the challenges of working within an active downtown corridor, we successfully coordinated traffic and pedestrian access to create an accessible gathering space that supports the continued revitalization of the city's urban core.
